The era of Mac OS X Snow leopard is about to end. Apple has already released several previews of Mac OS X Lion for developers and the final version is yet to debut for the world. According to Steve Jobs, Mac OS X Lion is a combination of iPad plus Mac OS X Leopard features. Whatever Apple learned from the iPad has been integrated in the next generation of operating system. The company will surely discuss more about Mac OS X Lion in WWDC 2011, may also talk about the release date during the summer. In addition to Lion, iOS 5.0 will be unveiled at the event.
Some solid sources are claiming that Apple will release the Mac OS X Lion on June 14 through the Mac App Store. Though, they are still not confirmed but lot of evidences are indicating the similar hint.
The indicators are :
1) Apple is planning for a new store front window which is quite different from the 7 June.
2) Apple is also minimizing the software presence on the specific day in retail stores. Thus, indicating the withdrawal of Snow Leopard from their shelves.
3) An unknown person has inquired 9 to 5Mac that the Apple’s supply of Mac OS X Snow Leopard is constantly declining.
